I ordered from insectlore.co.uk and it was all really straightforward. The tracking came through quickly, the parcel arrived when it was supposed to, and everything was packed fine with nothing missing. It’s always nice when an order just turns up without any drama. I’d happily use them again.

I got this for my kids, mostly because we were looking for something a bit different to do at home besides the usual crafts and screen time, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience. They learned so much watching the caterpillars change day by day, and it made science feel real instead of just something they read about in a book at school. We started checking on them every morning after breakfast, usually while I was trying to drink my coffee before it went cold, and it led to lots of little chats about nature and how everything grows and changes. It was simple to use, really engaging, and ended up being a nice little family project.

They sent the replacement without much trouble, which was nice. The refund part was a bit slow though, and I had to follow up to get it moving. Not an awful experience, just could’ve been smoother.

I ordered the caterpillars for my kids and they were really excited when they arrived. Most of them seemed okay, but one looked kind of weak right from the start and sadly didn’t make it. Another one stayed small and was much slower than the rest, not sure how to explain it, it just didn’t seem to be developing the same way. We did end up with a few healthy butterflies, so it wasn’t a total fail, but for the price I was a bit disappointed.

Had a little issue with my order, nothing huge, but I emailed them anyway. They got back to me way faster than I expected and just fixed it without making it a whole thing. even though there was a mistake, it kind of made me trust them more, which maybe doesn’t totally make sense, but that’s how it felt. Very happy overall.

We got the butterfly kit watching them fly off was the best part. All 5 made it, and the kids were absolutely buzzing when we opened the net in the garden. It felt like one of those small experiences that turns into a proper memory.

One butterfly stayed on my son’s hand for ages before finally flying away, which was really sweet. It made the whole thing feel a bit special, like a little reminder to slow down and notice things. I only took off a star because the delivery updates were a bit unclear and we weren’t sure when they’d arrive, but I’d definitely use it again...
